This past week I received a fun package – printed copies of the book cover I illustrated last year for Dr. Ron Carducci. As a painter, you’re used to see a raw image on a piece of paper. When you take something to the frame shop, it always looks completely different in a matte and frame. When you work with a designer, the finished pieces also looks completely different once its cropped and printed with copy and graphic elements around it.
I’m really pleased and flattered to be part of Dr. Carducci’s self published book. If you’re interested in purchasing a copy, simply follow this link, Friendship Doctor.com.
Read earlier posts to watch the progression of this piece from initial sketches, to pencil rendering to final painted piece. The transition is interesting if you’re not familiar with commercial work. Simply click the “commercial work” category and scroll throughout the posts.
