no images were foundThe Seen Gallery teamed artist, Madi Kirchhoff and myself for an exhibit. Our opening was April 17th and we had a great turnout despite Freaknik, the Braves game, an art festival in Piedmont Park and the Sweetwater Beer Festival. Thank you everyone who braved the traffic to attend!
Several of my horse friends from Bits & Bytes Farm (where my Thoroughbred, Bubba boards) drove downtown to attend. They had a great time but the show was only their first stop in a night filled with Atlanta adventures. Kristie just moved here from Arizona so she was introduced to warm Krispie Kremes and crusin’ Ponce with the Freaknickers. Meanwhile, back at the gallery, I had a chance to meet with folks who have previously purchased my work, that’s always fun!
The focus of my pieces is about work and how the current economic malaise forces many people to stay at jobs in which they are unsatisfied. Other pieces explore the hardships people encounter when they can’t find any employment. I believe many people can relate to these situations.
So please stop by The Seen Gallery and say “hi” to owners, Amy and Bill. The show will be up through May 15. Be certain to check out Madi’s work, they’re beautiful drawings of surreal figures with a great deal of depth and symbolism.
